Liam's 6th Birthday

Wow, they grow up so fast!
Liam had his 6th birthday yesterday, and his party last Sunday.
He received a Toy Shop worth of presents from his friends - which are now scattered over the house, and I made a brilliant cake! (Even if I do say so myself!)
He's a huge Angry Birds fan, so I just had to have a go at making an Angry Birds cake. I made everything except the candles, and the Flake chocolate that the King Pig is sitting on.
Actually, I'm pretty proud of myself for a first attempt!

Weight Watchers is working!

Well, I decided not to be trendy, and opted for Weight Watchers instead. I'm such a conservative, traditionalist!
Regardless, I have been doing it for 8 weeks and have lost 8.6kg!

I cannot believe that it can be so easy! Basically, nothing is off limits, but you do have to stay in your Pro Points count each day, so you actually start making healthy choices so that you don't go hungry.

For example, a banana is 0 points, but a Mars Bar is 7, so, makes sense to go for the banana! Though if you really wanted the Mars Bar you could have it. So far I have resisted serious temptation, but still managed to have sausage rolls and birthday cake at Liam's 6th birthday party. (Not to mention, the huge quantity of icing that I had to 'taste' while I was icing the cake!)

What A Day!

Well, today is my birthday! I did have a facial and pedicure booked in for a treat ... unfortunately little Mr Lord & Master didn't want to wake up this morning, so I had to reschedule and only managed to get the pedicure done.
I did get a pleasant surprise after lunch when my mother decided to make the trip to visit me, and came bearing flowers, afternoon tea and a present for me!
My husband has just come home with take away so I don't have to cook tonight - all in all, quite a pleasant day!
